Pierre Balmer is a distinguished graduate of the Polytechnique School (X76) and holds an engineering degree from ENSTA, where he specialized as a Chief Armament Engineer. He began his career at DCN Supérieures, serving as the Director of the Studies Programme in 1989. Pierre joined CMN as the Director of Development and Strategy. He was appointed Chairman of CMN in 2001 and led the Shipyard until 2019 when he transitioned to head the CMN NAVAL group. His extensive experience and leadership have been instrumental in driving the company's strategic vision and growth.
CFO CMN NAVAL
Since May 2019, Jean has served as the CFO of CMN NAVAL, bringing a wealth of financial expertise and leadership experience. Prior to this role, he spent seven years at Mazars, where he held the position of CEO for Mazars Hungary, operating from both Paris and Budapest. In 2003, Jean joined the Iveco Fiat Group in Turin, where he was responsible for the financial operations of Iveco and Case New Holland across international markets, including Europe, Russia, Africa, and the Middle East. In 2011, he played a pivotal role in establishing the private equity firm Strategic Initiatives. Jean joined the Group in 2017 as CEO of AMT Logistics. He is a proud graduate of INSEAD.
Legal & Compliance Officer CMN NAVAL
Amélie joined CMN in 2015 and became a board member of CMN NAVAL in 2023, where she currently serves as the Legal and Compliance Manager for the Group. She is a graduate of the Law School of Strasbourg (ERAGE), bringing a strong legal background and expertise in compliance matters to her role. Amélie is dedicated to ensuring that the Group adheres to all legal standards and regulations, contributing to the company’s integrity and reputation.
CEO of CMN
Serge joined CMN in June 2019 and assumed the role of CEO in September 2019. Prior to joining CMN, he had a successful tenure at the ENGIE Group, which he joined in 1991 to manage ACE. Over the years, Serge held various leadership positions, including Regional Director, Deputy Director, and Division Director. His earlier experience includes six years at COGEMA, where he was responsible for testing, commissioning, and operating nuclear facilities. Serge’s diverse background in management and engineering positions him as a key leader in driving CMN’s strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
CEO of Sir Joseph Isherwood Limited
Peter began his career as a Marine Engineer, serving at sea for eight years before transitioning to the manufacturing sector, where he worked as a Production Controller for a company specializing in prototype aircraft and gas turbine components. He joined Isherwoods in 1980 as General Manager and quickly advanced to Managing Director in 1982. In recent years, Peter has taken on the role of Chairman, leveraging his extensive industry knowledge and leadership experience to guide the company’s strategic direction.
CEO of GERMAN NAVAL YARDS
Rino is a seasoned international manager with a strong background in mechanical and industrial engineering. He has accumulated extensive experience in leadership roles across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Notably, he served as CEO of a major international joint venture shipyard in Qatar and led the largest DAMEN Shipyard in Romania. Since 2021, RB has been the Chief Executive Officer of GERMAN NAVAL YARDS, where he continues to drive operational excellence and strategic growth.
CCO of CMN NAVAL
Cherif is an experienced professional with more than 20 years of experience in the maritime and defence sectors. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of CMN NAVAL since 2022, where he has also held the position of Sales and Marketing Director since January 2022 and Commercial Director since January 2015. He started his career as an engineer in September 2005, with a focus on naval sales management until October 2022. He holds a degree in systems engineering from Ensta Bretagne and trained as a naval officer at the École Navale.
